How to find the real-time location of DTC bus

This new information from Google Maps will help you decide which bus to catch, as well as tell which bus is coming next to your stop. Another advantage of this service will be that you will be able to estimate how long it will take you to reach your destination. If your bus is late for any reason, Google Transit will automatically update your travel time. The arrival time of the bus will depend on the real-time information and will be shown in green and red colors in Google Maps.

How to use the new DTC bus information on Google Maps

This information service is currently available only in Delhi and there is no update about the rest of the places as of when this service will come. So all the people of Delhi can open Google Maps on their phone and follow the steps given below-

First of all make sure that Google Maps is updated in your phone.

  • Open Google Maps
  • Click on Go
  • Enter Destination
  • Click on Directions
  • Enter Start location
  • Click on the Transit icon
  • Click on All Modes and select Bus
  • Choose the bus according to the route and time of your choice.

Here you will be able to see at what time your bus will arrive and at what time it will reach your destination.

Apart from this, by clicking on any of the stops in the middle, you can see the details at what time the next bus will arrive.

This service is also available in Hindi which means that you will now be able to watch all this in your mother tongue as well. Users can change the preferred language in the settings of Google Maps to do this service in Hindi.

Delhi's Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot says "With this partnership with Google Maps, Delhi has now become one of the top cities in the world where people can plan their journey in minutes".
