Thus, if reports are to be believed, Microsoft will release the next update as Windows 11, leaving Windows 10 behind. The Windows 11 update is expected to be special and changes to the Windows App Store as well. According to a new leak, there may also be a new widget icon in the taskbar in Windows 11.

The Verge's Tom Warren has leaked screenshots of Windows 11's design. App icons appear in the center of the taskbar, the tray center has been cleaned up, and a new Start button and menu have been added. You can place app icons and the Start menu in the center of the taskbar or move them to the left. There is no live tile in the start menu. It has a simplified design with pinned apps, recent files, and shutdown and restart options.

The screenshot shows that Windows 11 may also come with a system-wide dark mode. User interface is cleaner. It also includes a redesigned app icon and overall rounded corners. The new Windows App Store hasn't been refactored yet, but it may be included in the final version.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the Build 2021 conference said the next update will be "one of the most important Windows updates of the last decade" and will "unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators."

Thus Microsoft is hosting a Windows event on June 24, where it will launch Windows 11 through a virtual event. This event will start at 8:30 PM on June 24 according to Indian time.
