According to the new guidelines, now you will see 5 types of marks on gold jewelry. It can be seen through a magnifying glass. In these marks, the BIS logo, Hallmarking center logo, year of marking, jeweler identification number and the number indicating the purity of gold will appear.
This deadline was earlier given till June 1, which was extended to June 15. Now Gold Hallmarking has become mandatory from today. Now in such a situation the question arises how to test Gold Hallmarking. It also has a solution. An app was launched by the government last year regarding this.
The name of the app is BIS-Care. With the help of this, you can find out the quality of the product. That is, those products on which ISI and Hallmarking Quality Certified can be checked for their quality. With this, you can also file a complaint about the product which is not authentic. This app is available in both Hindi and English languages.
Android users can download the BIS-Care app from the Google Play Store. After downloading the app, you have to register in the app. This process is quite easy. For this, open the app and give your name, mobile number and email id.
After this, verify the email id and mobile number through OTP. After this, you can also complain on the quality of the product, misuse of ISI mark, hallmark, registration mark, misleading ads and issues related to BIS.
