How to reset your Apple ID Password from account page
First, we will see how to reset Apple ID password from account page.
Step 1: First go to appleid.apple.com and click on Forgot Apple ID or Password in the center of the page. Keep in mind that your password can automatically pre-fill the sign-in screen from the drop-down menu. In particular, if you check the Remember Me box, you can also first see how it works.
Step 2: You will be taken to a page where you will need a key in your Apple ID, which will primarily be the primary email address you have set for your Apple account. Then, you will be taken to a new page where you will have to enter your name as well as the email address associated with the account. Note that if you have set up two-factor authentication, you will be asked to confirm your phone number to authenticate.
Step 3: After this you can choose how to reset your password by email or by answering security questions. You have to choose this option based on your choice.
Step 4: In the email process, you will be asked to send instructions to the given primary email address. Apart from this, you can also choose a different email ID. If you can't see the email in the inbox, look in your Spam, Junk and Trash folder or follow the steps mentioned again. If you opt for the security question, you need to confirm your birthday and answer specific questions to create a new password.
How to reset password for account recovery
Step 1: While resetting from iForgot or iOS, you will see the option of Request Account Recovery which you have to select.

Step 5: After this you will get another call or text with a specific account recovery code. Then you have to go to the iForgot website and enter the key.
Step 6: After this you need to reset your password and select Continue.
