Netflix to offer free streaming service in India

Netflix announced free access for all users in India for two days. The streaming platform said that they will host StreamFest: an entire weekend which will start from 5 December 12:01 am and will run till 6 December 11:59 pm. Under Steamfest, all users will be able to watch Net Flix Originals, movies, popular series, award winning documentaries for two days without paying any money.

To get free access to Netflix's shows and movies, you need to visit Netflix.com/StreamFest or download the Netflix Android app from the Google Play Store. After this you have to sign up with your name, email or phone number and password. After this you will be able to do streaming.

Netflix also mentioned that from today you can set a reminder by going to Netflix.com/StreamFest for which you will need to add an email or phone number. The company will notify you when StreamFest goes live.

Only one stream will appear in standard definition upon signing in during StreamFest, which means that you cannot login from one login information to another device.

After signing up with the Android app or browser, you can login with this information on your smart TV, gaming console and iOS device.

You will be able to use all the features that paid users get, these include profiles, parental control, Netflix, My List, subtitles or dubs in Hindi, smart downloads etc.
