Jio Wi-Fi calling launched in India

Jio has officially launched the voice and video over Wi-Fi calling feature that allows users to make much-clearer calls through Wi-Fi at no additional cost. The Mukesh Ambani-promoted operator says that it’ll work on any Wi-Fi network and isn’t limited to Jio Fiber, anywhere in India and supports over 150 smartphones. The telecom giant was testing the service over the past few months in various cities. The voice and video calls will seamlessly switch between VoLTE and Wi-Fi. Jio Wi-Fi Calling will be enabled all over India from now through January 16th.

Compatible phones for Jio Wi-Fi Calling

The Jio Wi-Fi calling feature is included at no additional-cost and works with any existing recharge plan. It is compatible with over 150 smartphone models, including the iPhone 6s and later, Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, Samsung Galaxy S10, S9, S8-series, Redmi K20 and K20 Pro, POCO F1, Vivo, Motorola, TECNO, iTel, Lava, Coolpad, Infinix, Moblistar and Samsung mid-range phones. If you have a compatible phone, the Jio Wi-Fi calling feature should be enabled.
