Rs. 179 prepaid plan launched by Airtel with truly unlimited calls, life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh

Airtel has launched new Rs. 179 pre-paid bundle with built-in Bharti Axa Life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh, unlimited calling to any network, 2GB data, 300 SMS and a validity of 28 days. It also includes Airtel Xstream App Premium and Wynk Music. The company already offers Rs. 149 with similar benefits, but without life insurance.

Company said that "The pack is designed to serve entry level smartphone users and feature phone users in semi-urban and rural markets. It will give these customers a simple and highly convenient channel to secure themselves and their families financially every time they recharge their Airtel mobile numbers,”.
